LGH recently supplied equipment for a joint project between Doosan and the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) at Culham Science Centre in Abingdon. This was an exciting opportunity to support one the UK's most successful science locations, which promotes southern Oxfordshire as a global hub for enterprise and innovation in science, high technology, and knowledge application.
The Challenge:
We were tasked with providing equipment to help replace the obsolete mast tank in their building. The old tank was not cooling the generator properly, so this time-sensitive replacement was essential to avoid delaying the project. We had to ensure that the equipment arrived on time for the delivery of the new mast tank.
The Solution:
LGH supplied a variety of equipment, including a 16m MOD110, a 50t Round Sling and Shackles to lift and replace an existing mast tank. We met the requirements of both parties involved, and the job was successfully completed on schedule. LGH is proud to have supported this project, and we look forward to continuing our partnership in the future.
